Home Loan Tips for paying off your mortgage faster

  1. Make your first repayment on settlement date.
  2. Structure part of the loan as floating so you can make lump sum payments as and when you have managed to save.
  3. Setup up an offset account & ensure your salary is direct credited into this account.
  4. Keep your repayments the same even if interest rates are on the decline.
  5. Review your loans regularly & make extra repayments (not more than 5% allowed on a fixed term home loan).
